![]() ![]() YES: I did read the website FAQ on the resource website, unfortunately the answer was very vague, and it covered everything in an umbrella statement by telling me to “google it” and of course that was the first thing I did. All the results I received were either not what problem I was having, redundant beginner information, or videos that wasted my time by not getting to the point until after they had spent five minutes apologizing profusely for not making videos, and then telling me the video itself was for something else entirely, all while spoken in broken English or too soft to be heard. ![]() However when I went to try to open them with Blender I found I had no idea of what to do, and Blender didn’t either. I was confused and I asked around on two other forums, the first on Steam, the second on the Models Resource website, and was told that I had to use Blender in order to translate them into usable files for “SFM” to recognize. ![]() Now when I unzipped them and opened the folders, I found unfamiliar file types like “.mtl”, “.smd”, “.rda”, “.skp”, and “.obj” inside. I found a great resource website for 3D models ripped from video games called “The Models Resource” and being eager to start using them in “Steam Film Maker”, I went and downloaded a good load of character and item models. ![]()
